Certification Information
The purpose
of the Education Home™ Certification Program is to:
-
Increase the number of professional
development opportunities for tutors, trainers,
administrators, and academic coaches.

Establish quality standards of practice
for all tutors, tutorial administrators, and academic
coaches.

Ensure that those who practice tutorial
assistance and/or academic coaching are qualified to do
so.
-
Provide recognition for those tutors,
trainers, administrators, academic coaches and programs
that have made a commitment to the advancement of
academic assistance.
-
Support research and development of
tutorial studies and academic coaching.
Certification renewal is earned through Continuing
Certification Units and/or individual Tutorial Project
Credits as approved by the Education Home™ Certification
Committee. Individual Certifications for tutors and academic
coaches are renewed every year.
